Surprise Blog Hop for Julie!

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to a SPECIAL SURPRISE blog hop for my dear friend, Julie Odil!

 

Julie was recently diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma, so this hop is our was of letting her know that we are here for her. You should have come here from Audy VanZandt. If you didn't, please hop over to THIS POST for a complete list of participants! Along with this hop, there is a special release digital stamp set and paper pack from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop designed specifically for sending get well cards to those struggling with different forms of cancer. The colors of the paper pack are lavender (all cancers awareness), lime green (lymphoma awareness), pink (breast cancer awareness), teal (ovarian cancer awareness), and peach (cervical cancer awareness). Take a peek at these products...

I choose to work with the lavender paper to work for all cancers!  I kept the rest simple as I wanted to mail this out too.  I printed the sentiment on the paper and then colored the flower with Copics.  I added a quick bow and was done.

I hope you have all had a great Thanksgiving weekend!!  Thankfully, my Brother and his family came in to visit and we enjoyed the meal with my parents, Grandpa and Aunt.  My dad is feeling really well.  He ENJOYED the meal and some pie!!  That is great!!  Something to really be thankful for!!  And he finishes up his treatments this week and praying that it has done it’s job!!  (Although if he can eat, I know it did something!!!)

Seasonal Expressions Blog Hop

Today we are sharing some great new products that are available from the new Seasonal Expressions catalog.

I had SO many things on my wish list to share with you, but I decided to go with one of the new stamp sets. (I have a hard time focusing on anything else peeps.) I choose the Woodland Romance to share with you today!

This is a super fun set with a good variety of images. 

When I saw this heart, I knew that it needed to be heat embossed.  This image pairs up with the Artistry cart from CTMH as well.  I used the dimensions given and then made one just a smidge bigger to mat the white heart on. 

I finished the card with some scraps of my Valentine stash paper and used my embossing folders for the white background. 

 

 

 

I was also really happy to see the deer image in the set, as it also pairs with the Artistry cart.  I didn't know what else to do with that cut on the cartridge. 

 

Here is a few other images stamped from the set and a close up of the head. The paper I paired this with is from the White Pines collections... did you know you could still use that on a Valentine card?  Hee Hee
