HEY! It’s Tuesday and time to play with a new challenge at Retro Rubber.
This time our challenge is to bring out the Embossing Powder. When I started stamping, this was probably one of the first huge “extras” that I was adding to cards. It really was a fun way to make something really pop off your card.
I then really forgot about it, until recently, when I invested in some more powders and dusted of the heat tool. (Pun intended there!! HA!)
I couldn’t decide which way to go, and then I procrastinated too long. I ended up stamping this tree from the old Stampin Up! set, Thoughts and Prayers.
I embossed it in white and then sponged around the image with my ink. I embossed the sentiment in black. I kept the rest really simple as I do with all the Sympathy type cards I make. I matted with some more cardstock and then I added to some matching cardstock for a base.
Make sure you head over to the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog to play along with us!!
Thank you for visiting me!
That tree is so pretty - gorgeous sponging - its my favorite technique! Thanks for having me as GDT! Hugs, Cornelia

Very clean and simple, and so lovely! The colors with the layering make for a beautiful design.

I adore using the Emboss Resist technique. Your card is a wonderful example of how it takes nice to great... Very sweet sympathy card...
