After a long week, I wanted to take a break this weekend for some color therapy. I stopped off at Jane’s house Saturday to borrow some other stamps and she also shared with me one of her Art Impression stamps. I hope to acquire some of my own, but I am thankful she shared for now. I love to color these images.
This image is called Hollis, Front and Back. And this week, the AI Challenge was to create a Front and Back card.
As I was coloring, I was thinking about how to make the card work. I decided I wanted to make the front of the card clear with acetate.
To make that work, I trimmed my card base to 4.25” by 6.5” I scored it at 5.5”, and left about 1 inch to flap over and attach the acetate to.
I pulled out my MFT grass border die to put him in the “field.” I wish that I had a cute laughing bird to put BEHIND him. I also searched all over for a sentiment, and decided to just leave it as is, and tied some rustic twine on the top.
This is a look at the BACK of the front of the card.
This was a fun card to make. It took a lot of steps, but really is quite simple, and will be good to have in my stash for a last minute card.

Our lives are all about football right now. But it is a fun time, and gets me in the mood for all things fall.
Friday was the first game of the season for the High School team. David won’t play Varsity for awhile, but it was still special to see him part of the team. His first game is Monday night.
It cooled off when the sun went down, but it was a beautiful night for football.
The other two nights of the week are for flag football. I’m not looking forward to the highs this week of 55* as we watch these games.
And tonight, the 5 of us are drafting our teams for our Family Fantasy Football league. I’m not sure what I’m doing, but it will be fun to bother the boys about it on Game Days. **Go Cowboys!!**
I love how you did this!! I think you did Hollis proud! Maybe you should make my brother's birthday card for me cause I don't think it will look near this good. Especially love the effects on the binocs!!

Great job on the front & back card, Katie. Congrats on your AI win this week! (You won't have to borrow from your friend any longer!!)
