Good Morning.. hope you enjoyed your weekend. I got to sneak in some crafty time and made my first Halloween card of the season! I am not really ready for that yet, but I couldn’t help myself.
I saw Karen’s sketch yesterday and I wanted to work with the banners. I’ve had these Fishtail Banner dies from MFT and haven’t used them like this before. While looking for the perfect stamp, I came across this cute mummy from TSG, Hauntingly Delightful. The sentiment was perfect to use on the banner.
I created the background, and then trimmed a piece of black cardstock. I wrapped that with SU twill ribbon, and inked up the edges of the ribbon with my Copic marker to make it look ragged. I die cut the banners with some papers from SU’s Cast a Spell. I used my Papertrey Ink letter dies to cut out the letters for SORRY. I “hung” them on the card with twine from the RC store.
Then I stamped and colored the image with Copics and finished the card front. For the sentiment, I die cut the tab, and inked up the bottom part of the sentiment stamp – since I had already used the SORRY above.
I am off for the day to work at the kids’ school book fair, and then hit their open house tonight. Thanks for stopping in!
OH this is so fun! I love the mix of papers and of course I adore your fun banner. What a cute image and perfect sentiment! Fabulous job!
