Holy Heat-wave BatMan!! Are you all hot too? Oh my, I do not like handle the heat very well. We are able to keep things cool here as best we can, but I’m still melting.
I wanted to get on here all weekend to post this card, and it didn’t happen. We were busy working on the house – so it was a good reason to be away. Yesterday was also our 12th Anniversary, and we celebrated with dinner and movie. We got to see What to Expect When You Are Expecting. It was pretty funny.
Anyway, on to the card you came here to see.
I made this card for a couple challenges, and it turned out so well. I used the new Vertical Greetings II die with a sentiment from the first Vertical Greetings set, both from MFT. (I love versatility like that with sets!!) I die cut another piece of the grey cardstock so that I could add it to the bottom of the sentiment panel, and added some matching grey ribbon to tie it together. (Literally. )
I used this fun paper from MME Nostalgia 6x6 pad, drawing the colors from this week’s Play Date Café challenge. I thought I was more onto their colors, but when I look today I think I am totally off. Let’s just say I was going for GOLD here ok?
I matted the patterned paper on the grey cardstock, and thought it popped better with the yellow cardstock as the base.
I followed this week’s sketch over at iSpy Sketches, flipping it on it’s side.
Love how you turned the sketch and wonderful sentiment! Thanks for playing at I Spy!!
