Hey there!! Hope the weekend treated you well. It was full of work for us. I loved that McKinley came in asking me to feel her muscles saying she had to work pretty hard, and then she had mechanic hands!! We also got our boys back Saturday night!! YAY!!
I am not always the best at keeping up with the newest trends, even when it comes to stamping. However, the hexagons seem to be THE shape when creating lately, and I thought I would give them a try.
I got the new MFT Hexagon dies from the last release and used the smaller ones to punch out some fun Indie Chic papers. I added them to the cardstock to create the base for the card. I also used the new Notched border die for the bottom. The sentiment is stamped on the coordinating Vertical Greetings II die.
I finished it off with some fun twine from The Ribbon Carousel store.
I may not be in love with Hexagons, but I do love the look.
I used up some of the bigger hexagons cut from the same papers to create a very simple card here. I added the hexagons and then created a sentiment flag and stamped the sentiment on it. Then I added the Indie Chic button. Very simple use of the scraps of paper and hexagons.
I haven’t updated you on the house. I am keeping it updated on my other blog – Home Sweet Country Home. You can follow me there.
However I thought you would enjoy that I finally was able to paint my craft room.
I used Timid Green and I am hoping that is calms down once I get it filled up. You can see the breaker box there. I am on the look out for a fancy frame to throw around this big monster.
