Settling back into the routine of daily life now. Long weekends are great, but they really wear this mama out.
I am excited to share this card with you today. I don’t know why but it took me hours to get this card. And I’m still not sure. I love it, but sheesh, it was a long card to get done.
These colors are kind of fun, yet just gloomy enough to warrant the umbrella.
The color combo came from the ladies at The PlayDate Café. I have a hodgepodge of papers from MME, that were on my desk. I also used American Crafts cardstock on this one, thus the textured look of her boots. After some coloring, I ended up paper piecing the umbrella, coat and boots on AlaMode, The Rainbow WIll Come image.
I used the Wonky Scallop Border die on the edge and finished the front off with some printed buttons, twine and Smooch. This was my first attempt at Smoochin’. On cards. After it dried, I was pleased with it.
The layout of this card is based on Jen's Deconsructed Sketch for this week.
SUPER cute katie! LOVE all the paper piecing!!

Agree with Jodi--super cute stamp and great layering of papers in the great challenge colors. Just captures a damp spring day; we having lots of those in Oregon. Hope to get my submission by the deadline!
