Happy Monday!! Can you believe it's May already? Well, it is, and today we are celebrating with an A*Muse Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from Kathy's blog. If you just stumbled upon the Hop, head over to Samantha's Blog to find a full list of hoppers.
Today we have a challenge, to create a CONGRATS card. With weddings and graduation season coming, this is the perfect hop to get you motivated.
For my card, I choose to work with the a*muse set, ConGRADulations. I stamped the hat in sky ink on sugar cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento black. Once again, I drew an outline around the main image panel.
To create the base, I ran the cardstock through my Cuttlebug with Star Trio dies, die cut side down, to create the embossed look. I added a strip of onyx gingham cardstock across the base and added the sentiment panel. Then I die cut out some more stars, the sky blue one ran through the CB with my Swiss Dots embossing folder. (The a*muse equivalent would be the tiny dots impression plate.)
These are very simple to make, and easy to replicate if you have lots of graduates. (I never know, so I like to keep LOTS on hand for last minute needs.)
Ok, I hope you enjoyed my card. You next stop on the hop is Veronica's Blog.
All products used are from a*muse,(except where noted) and you can find them on my website HERE. For orders over $150, email me so that you can get your free products.

Perfect, Katie! I love how you used the stars to emboss the background as well as using them as dies. Genius and I'll have to give it a try.
