Happy Thursday...
I am feeling very humbled today to be able to share this post with you. If you didn't read my post last Tuesday, HERE it is. Then check out the post on the There She Goes Blog today HERE.
WOW!! I feel honored to be chosen, but I also feel like it confirms that I AM RIGHT WHERE I SHOULD BE. Thanks Holly and Jessica, and THANK YOU for coming by my lil ole blog and supporting me! *wink*
Now...
I am leaving town! YAY!! I have been looking forward to this weekend for almost a year. Since I went last May. :D I am going to Women of Faith with 4 of my best friends. 3 of whom went last year with me, and now Amber gets to join us. YAY!! We had an unbelievable time, not only at the conference, but in the time we were able to share with each other. I don't know if I will forgot the 4 of us laughing and crying in the booth at breakfast, while the Sunday morning crowd looked on like we were a bunch of loons.
So, I am just excited to have more great time with them, and to get some down time to hopefully rejuvenate me. We are leaving tonight and will be home Sunday sometime. This weekend is also a big basketball weekend for David and Greg. So I have to get things ready to send McKinley and RC to my mom's and leave food and what not for the other two.
Before I go, I thought I would share this....
There was a new challenge this week at the There She Goes blog, which happened to be a color challenge. And I had new TSG stamps that needed to be inked up!
The colors were Lemon Yellow, Grass Green and Aqua. Kind of hard, perfect for the challenge!
I knew that I wanted to use my new Sweet Pea. I am not really into flower stamps, so this is a stretch for me. I am happy with it. I really bought the set because of the sentiments...I love the handwritten look!!! I think I will be using this set for sentiments alot!
Anyway, I then choose some scraps of paper from My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow and matted it on Old Olive cs. I need to practice more with my machine on straight lines, because I think it would have flowed better than the zig zag. Anyway, I am happy to get to sew on every card!
I stamped the sweet pea on Confetti White cs, and colored with Copics, adding some aqua in the middle and shading out with the light green. Then I colored some more blue around it, and added some sparkles to the insides. I cut out the circles with my Nesties.
Hopefully you can see some detail on the Barely Banana that I stamped with the definition sentiment that comes with this set. I tried it with Versamark and it was too light, so I stamped it with Barely Banana ink. I cut that out with a Curvy Rectangle Nestie and embossed it. To finish it all, I added some satin Olive ribbon and aqua ric rac.
I stamped the sentiment on Confetti white cs and then punched with the SU label punch and pierced the sides.
Did you see the SU is doing some new colors? I saw that on a blog-o somewhere, and am a lil curious. To be honest, I am falling in love with Papertrey's paper, so I might be converting anyway. Who knows...
This weekend I will be sharing a peek into my craft room while I am gone...and it was clean! LOL I also have a post for tomorrow's Town Scrapper challenge, so do check back!
Have a great day!
