Good morning readers. I had big plans to work on a video post for you today, but I have some more learning/work to do on that, so maybe next Monday!
Aside from Taylor's many sketches this weekend, I only got to one other weekend sketch and that was Amy R's. Her sketch called for hearts, and I realize I could've used anything, but I wanted to use hearts. So I found my Tim Holtz grungeboard and used the hearts from there.
It was an experiment really. The larger heart is Fun Flocked, and I'm not so excited about it. The middle sized heart is painted with Shimmerz paint. I like how it turned out. For the smaller heart, I colored with my SU markers. I colored a lighter shade in the middle and then darker around the edges and finished it with my Signo Gel pen.
I also know you can paint the Grungeboard, distress it, leave it plain. Whatever you choose. I just wanted to play around with it today.
Would you like to play around with some? I have an extra package of the Basic Elements pack of Grungeboard for you. Here is a link to what you will get -HERE
How do you win? Just leave a comment here. That's all. No more making you work, cuz no one likes that!! I'll draw a winner on Thursday night (1-29) and post a winner on Friday.
Supplies - Paper - Bazzill Pink Lemonade cs, SU Rose Red cs, My Minds Eye dp;Other - Tim Holtz grungebaord - Basic Elements, SU Markers, Doodlebug Fun Flock, Pink Shimmerz paint.

Love the hearts! I {heart} Grungeboard and have an order of Shimmerz on the way and can't wait to try them together. Grungeboard and Glimmer Mist is also a pretty cool look that you might want to try.

I like how you did several different techniques on the hearts. Super creative! I always have a problem with flocking getting a good cover and yours looks great! Kudos!
