Good morning! Welcome to another week. And it's half way through the month. Some of you lucky ducks have today as a holiday. I remember that those Tuesday after a Monday holiday were brutal. No worries here tho!
I worked on a couple cards yesterday while the boys were outside. I got to Jen's Sketchwhich I paired with the challenge from OCC.
The OCC technique challenge was to try Reverse Embossing. So I stamped these flowers and embossed them with clear EP. Then I sponged over Brocade Blue ink. The card itself is smaller, 4"x4". I liked the lil corner spot and added blue cs with my corner punch. Also I wanted to use these fun felt flowers from SU, so that is where my color came from! LOL...
Here is the inside:
Supplies: Images - Life Like You Mean It, SU; Paper - SU Brocade Blue, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip cs; Extras - Clear EP, ink, sponge, Felt flowers
I also got to Amy R's Friday sketch and I loved it.
The sketch itself is so cute, and I pulled out BoatLoads of Love for this one. Over on Diana's blogshe gave me the idea to cute the anchor and life-saver ring out. WOW!! So I had to incorporate it here!!
Here's a close up you can click on to see them. You can see I didn't cute them perfectly. Oh well....
Supplies:Images - BoatLoads of Love; Paper - SU Very Vanilla cs, Pink Prism cs, SU Old Olive cs, My Minds Eye dp; Extras - polka dot ribbon, ink, makers, Nessties and Cuttlebug
Awesome job on the emboss resist technique! Thanks for playing in the OCC challenge. Love your second one, too. Cool layout with the three circles at the bottom!
