Rainbow Sketch CHallenge

I shared how I created this card is the video below.  I wanted to play with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players this week.  I thought it looks simple and perfect for our larger Funny Bones sentiments.

I also wanted to have some rainbow on there with my distress inks.  My original plan didn't work out like I wanted it to.  So plan B went into effect and I'm just as happy!

Here is today's video - Enjoy!

And thank you so much for stopping in today!!  Enjoy  your Wednesday!

Coffee Lovers Sketch Challenge | Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

Hi ya Feiends!!

Welcome to the Monday/Tuesday of the week for those of you who had yesterday off.  I ENJOYED the heck right out of that day.  Stayed in my PJs til almost noon, and enjoyed my coffee.  We did have to do some chores like laundry, but I'm ok with it.  And ended the day with some pizza.

So I am ready to take today.  But not without some coffee.

Or tea in the case of today's card.

Coffee Sketch

This card is actually for the Coffee Lovers Sketch on their blog. I loved the look of the cups along the side.  And I've been wanting to play with my water color techniques and heat embossed the Prickley Pear Stamps cups with clear EP.  Then I watercolored them with a rainbow effect down the side of the card.

I felt then, it was only fitting to leave everything else black and white.  Oh, and some gold.

I couldn't find a sentiment that I loved until I went back to my Simon Says set from the latest card kit.    So it's tea related, but I am ok with that.  wink

I stamped it on a banner die from the PPRS banner die set. The stamps are the PPRS Coffee Cup set.  I think next time I try this technique, I will go bolder with my colors, but I do love this look.  Super easy.

I hope you all enjoy your day!  Looking forward to a short week here!

We're the Perfect Mix | Global Design Project

Hi there friends!!  Welcome!

Today I am sharing another challenge card that I played with this week.  I despise color challenges, but I really need to break free from Turquoise and Pink.  HA!!

So this week at Global Design Project was a color challenge and I tried my best.  I always tend to pull cardstocks and work from there.  I also used.

Global Design Project

I used the SU Perfect Mix stamp set and paper pieced the blender top.  I also stamped a couple images with Versamark on the back cardstock.  The patterned paper was from an older paper pack and I finished it off with twine and some wood embellies.  I love these things!!

Thanks for the visit today!!

We are on our way Skiing today!!  This will be a first time for McKinley and I.  Praying for no broken ANYTHING!!  HA!  And then tomorrow, I will be here for heART of Worship Sunday.  Enjoy your weekend!!

Love Notes | Atlantic Hearts Sketch + Paper Players

Hi crafty Peeps!!  Welcome!

I had a free night HOME ALONE this week so I dug out my Valentine Inspiration Box and some fun stuff and played the evening away.

I really wanted to use up the goodies I got from Stampin Up this month for my Valentine's as well.  Afterwards, I felt they are not really perfect for the littles I wanted to send them to, so these will go to the ladies at school

Sketch 198

I found a new Sketch Challenge to play with over the weekend, Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and this was a fun one.  Very easy to work with and I think my card turned out super cute.

I also hoped it would work for this week's challenge at The Paper Players which was Valentine Themed.

All of the supplies were Stampin Up - My Demo's Site.

PPRS | Mojo Monday

Happy Saturday friends!!  There was a LOT of stuff shared this week here on the blog!  Craziness!!  But Tanya has such great stuff to share!

I keep pulling out my goodies and making more!!

PPRS Mojo Monday

When I saw the sketch for Mojo Monday this week, I thought immediately of the new Christmas Banner stamp set!  I stamped an image from Christmas Cupcakes on the kraft cs in white.  Then I masked the sentiment to stack it instead of having it long.  I stamped the holly banner and colored with Copics.  I added a splash of red cs and some embellies and BOOM!  Awesome Christmas Card!!

I love this one so much, it may get repeated for more Christmas giving!!

Make sure you check out all of the new Release Stamps HERE on the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps store!

I am looking forward to a day at home today!  We are hosting Thanksgiving and there is always a  lot to do.  Not like last year, when we hosted over 40 people, just our small family.  But still, I like to get my chores done so I can enjoy the weekend!

I am thankful for so much - today and everyday!  But today I wanted to tell you all I'm thankful for your visits here!  It means a lot to me!!

Enjoy your Saturday!!

MFT Sketch | Flash the Sloth

Hi friends!  I am sneaking in tonight to show you this cute card!!

Awhile back, I did a search for Sloth Stamps and it didn't turn up much.  So as soon as I saw the MFT Release of this cute set, I grabbed it!!

Seriously?  How fun!

I've loved sloths from way back in grade school, but when I saw Flash in Zootopia, I was reminded of how CUTE they could be!

MFT Sketch 11-16

I'm playing along with this week's sketch for MFT over on their challenge blog.   I kept it super simple, and die cute this scalloped frame to put around my Flash.  Then the smaller element was perfect for the sentiment!  Super easy card!!

McKinley and I had sat and colored images the other night while we watched TV.  Then last night I put this together, and as I was doing so, she was watching YouTube.  All of a sudden she screamed that the cat had a mouse!  Sure enough.   But would he kill it?  No.  Just play with it!  So it ended up getting stuck under my desk and I had to take things apart of get to it.  I didn't want it half dead and smelling up the house!  Gross!!

We finally got the dogs to it and got it outside.  So, you may see sloths here once in awhile, but no more MICE IMAGES!  UGH!

Craftin Desert Divas | November Mood Board Social Media Challenge

Hi friends!!  I hope you are all well.  Here we are running into November!!  Can you believe it?  I have finally started some Christmas shopping!  YAY!  But there is still a long list, so let's just slow on down ok?

With a new month, comes a new Social Media Challenge for the crew at The Craftin' Desert Divas.  How fun is this inspiration piece?

Beautiful browns and raindrops!!  I used our Sprinkles as raindrops on my card.  I also threw on some cork as a more natural look.

Nov Mood Board

I was drawn to the coffee cup image on the bottom, so I pulled out this cutie, called....  I love to color him, and shared him on Instagram for the 30 Day Coloring challenge going on this month!

I did have to add some Wink of Stella to a few spots to make it shimmer some more!  You can never have enough glitter or shine!!

Make sure you check out the challenge on the Facebook page and link up your project.

The Craftin Desert Divas is also holding a Design Team Call, if you are interested.  Tara is amazing to work with and this is a great team!!  Check out the details HERE.

November 30 Day Coloring Challenge | Craftin’ Desert Diva Images

Hi friends!!  Hope that you are all enjoying the beginning of November!!  I had a mini panic attack that I am not ready for these next two months!!  But here they are!  So, let’s jump in!

One fun thing about it, is Kathy’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  If you have been living under a rock, you can find her HERE on her blog.  But most of the fun happens on Instagram, where you can find the Hashtag #thedailymarker30day

I shared this last night on Day 1 – and I really hope to share something each day.  I have a pile of images laid out to color on.

So I had planned to use this for the new CDD Social Media Challenge, but I went crazy with the colors instead!!  I’ll share my challenge post on Saturday.

This image is called Coffee Friends from the Craftin’ Desert Divas Digi Store.

I had these papers on my desk so that is where the colors came from.  I was especially happy when I saw the lil tea button. It’s perfect!!  I used the Stitched in Circles Dies to cut out the pieces and then just added the fun corrugated cardstock, and the vellum piece came that way as well.

mojo monday

I played with the sketch from Mojo Monday today.   Love the fun circle elements on the card!!

So, make sure you check out my Instagram to follow along with my 30 days of coloring!!  I hope to make it all 30 days!  I am @katieskiff on there!  Or click HERE.

Happy Birthday | MHK Designs

Hi again friends!!  I’m excited to pop on today to share this cute birthday card with you!!  I slipped this in a gift to one of my crafty friends, I am excited to see what she thinks!!

MHK Katie

The image is from the MHKDesigns set, Eat Your Cake!  And isn’t this cake image great?!  Love it!!  I paired it with some fun, retired CTMH papers and played ON TIME FOR ONCE with the Retro Sketches sketch!!

I colored the images with my Copics, and added some white chalk around the side there with my chalk marker.  Then I finished it off with some sparkles.

I wanted to let you know that Mynn is having a Design Team call for the 2017 term.  She is amazing to work with and the team has been super supportive!! CLICK HERE to check out the call.

I will be back on Thursday with some fun eye candy for you.  And hopefully a video!!  We shall see.....

Art Impressions Birthday Card | Family Update

Hi friends!!!

I had truly hoped to upload this earlier in the week.  This just wasn’t the week for me and my computer.  I recently updated my phone to ios10 and now I can’t get it to download anything to my computer!  GRRRR!!  Technology – you can suck sometimes!!

So, I am late to share these cards.

Mostly, I wanted to just sit and color one evening while I watched some mindless tv and thought I would update my YouTube viewers to my life updates.  These are the cards I ended up with that night!!

This guy will be checking himself into the challenge over at Mojo Monday’s sketch challenge.  The stamp set is from Art Impressions from their Hobby Lobby line.

The little lady came afterwards, as I realized I needed a card for my Aunt’s birthday coming up!

Enjoy the Video as well.

Her fun loving lil self wanted to play with the team at Retro Sketches this week, but we are once again too late!!  Winking smile  I’m ok with that.  She is still pretty darn cute!!

We are heading out to our first Middle School basketball games for the season.  It never ends!!

Enjoy your Saturday!!
