Hello Monday! First, I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my DAD!! Also, Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and Happy Columbus Day to us in the US.
It is a holiday but the boys are off to school. (yay) I have got some damage control on the house from the weekend. The girls had our fun on our trip out of town to the Expo. It is always fun to go with my mom and my aunts, but also to see some new things and venture out of town. Then we enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday. It is hard to believe it's October, but we took advantage and got our summer things put away...you never know when it will snow, and how long that snow will last!
Then I snuck some time away in the studio to get started on another new project for the Craft Fairs.
As soon as I saw THIS POST over at Papertrey's Blog, I knew I would be purchasing these awesome calendar items. I have made various perpetual calendars for gifts before, but these are just so awesome! I love the binder, and the pockets for the cards. I started to work on my first one yesterday, choosing a blue, white and kraft color scheme.
I got the inspiration from Maile's Calendar binder HERE. I stamped the flowers from Friendship Jar Fillers with white ink on kraft cardstock. Then I stamped the Vintage Frames from PTI also in Seaside ink on the kraft and cut out with my matching Nestie. I stamped the corner images from Calendar Basics in Seaside on the Spring Rain cardstock. I created a banner effect for the CALENDAR across the top. I also stamped the Handmade Orginal on there. Then I added some white grosgrain ribbon.
I created a lil tab for the spine as well.
This is the inside of the Birthday pages, and I've added a matching card inside too.
This is a super simple card. I used the new Framed set from PTI, and paired it with other sentiments from Calendar Basics. I also wrapped the ribbon around similar to the binder.
I hope that these are as big of a hit with the craft fair crowd as they are with family.
Thanks for stopping by and as always, comments are appreciated!
Have a great Monday!
