Hey there!! Miss me? Well, I miss you. I miss our chats here!! However, I’m not missing the pressure to post. Love the freedom – but I did want to pop on a share with you what I’ve been up to.
First up, is a card for your eye candy.
I pulled up Karen’s Sweet Sketch Sunday and wanted to play with it. I had all of my older Valentine’s papers and goodies out on my desk. I used this cute BINGO-like card for the main image panel. The key and hearts are chipboard sitckers.
Lots of pinks and reds with just the touch of teal in there. ♥
I mentioned that I’ve been sewing so I wanted to share a couple projects. I had this tub full of my unfinished projects. I seriously thought it might stay full, but I decided to pull it out and clean it out.
The squares on this quilt were put together over 6 years ago, but never finished.
Our niece is having a baby and I thought these would be perfect to create a baby quilt for her. Bright and cheery and glad to have a purpose for this squares now.
My machine isn’t fancy, but it kind of has some alphabets so I added a lil note for baby.
This project wasn’t as old, the whole front was done less than 5 years ago. But then I started to quilt it and it was a bugger so I gave up. I pulled it out, and removed the stuffing I’d tried to use and it was much better. The top is all flannel and the back is a minky so it’s plenty warm. It was much easier to quilt.
This one is just for bumming around the front room. We have plenty of blankets but I guess you can never have too many!
Today I’ve been sewing on one more project as a Valentine’s gift. I’ll share it next week.
The kids are going to be coming down the road soon, and we need to prepare for church. Thanks for stopping by.
