Hey there – it’s the EVE of Christmas EVE!! WOW… I was waking up thinking about it, and it doesn’t seem real. Time has just flown by. I finished up the last bit of wrapping last night and getting things ready for tomorrow. Today, I get to enjoy some time with some old friends in town for the holidays. Grateful to be squeezing that in.
However today is the Loves Rubberstamps Sensational Sunday Inspirations – and I have a couple cards to share.
I was over on SCS this week and saw their monthly theme for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges. I decided to play along with the More is More challenge. To create one card and then a stepped up version of the card.
I used the image Cup of Cozy Wishes from Kraftin Kimmie for both cards. On this card, I stamped the image and colored it with soft colors. I added some fun printed paper and then kept the card kind of monochromatic.
For the stepped up version, I stamped the image, but added more color and some stickles to the image to make it sparkle. I matted the patterned paper on black cardstock to make it pop, and added some more colors of paper. I also added some “icicles” under the pink paper. I added a button with black twine to the bow, and then added a sentiment as well.
Both cards are beautiful, but it’s amazing what a few more pieces of paper and more color can bring to your cards.
