Hello there and Happy New Years Eve!! We are preparing to gather with Greg’s family again since a couple of the nieces weren’t here for Christmas Eve. I’ve prepared some games for them to play – I think it will be a good time!!
My brother and family came for the weekend and we have been enjoying every minute with them. Us girls spent most of Saturday in my craft room - which was AWESOME to have some others in here to be crafty with me!!
Even Miss Mesa got to learn how to use the Big Shot!
Today, I wanted to share my gift to my SIL and the packaging for my nieces’ gifts.
One of our nieces is expecting this spring and I knew the my SIL might want to share those cute grandbaby photos. She is an avid sewer, so I thought these cute lil photo holders would be perfect. I had these old wooden spools in my stash from the antique store, and I used wire to create the photo holder. Then I hot glued them into the spool. I wrapped some various ribbons around the spool and added a cute stick pin to finish it off.
These are so simple to create and I think they are super adorable as well. Perfect for her desk at work.
For the nieces’, I picked up some lotions and thought a fun lil paper bag would be great for packaging. I added a doily over the top and then created the tag. I added some washi tape and stamped out the names. Then I finished them off with wooden snowflakes from Studio Calico. I picked up the tags at the local news office, and I get my washi tape HERE at this etsy store.
