Happy Saturday!! It's time for a new challenge with the ladies over at Drunken Stampers!! Do you want to be the Life of the Party? Then head over to the challenge blog and play along with us.
Your challenge for this week is to use OLD supplies you haven't used in over 6 months. Well, I recently unpacked some of my stash that had a large collection of older papers I was hoarding. So I dug through them and pulled out some papers MME So Sophie collection.
I remembered why I hoarded these papers, I love the colors, as well as the texture. I love that I was able to sand the edges and get that distressed look. I choose to work with this week's MFT Sketch, and created the layout with the papers and bazzill cardstocks. I added some Ripe Avacado cardstock strips and then chocolate chip ribbon on top of them. I stamped this sentiment from MFT's Bookmark Duo stamp set. I colored the word BOOKS with my Copic marker. After I layered it with cardstock, I popped it up on the front of the card. I needed to be careful where I added adhesive, because the small circle element actually pulls out to be a bookmark. I wanted to make the card double as a fun gift as well. As soon as I saw this sentiment, I thought of my aunt who always says she has to re-read a few pages as she forgets what she was reading when she fell asleep the night before. I'm anxious to see what you create with this week's challenge, so head over to the challenge blog to play along!!
